The First Q & A's 1/18/2011 (:

1. SOPA is the Stop Online Piracy Act.  This bill would give the U.S. government more power to control websites with copyright issues. It's supposed to limit how we used the internet.
2. PIPA is the Protect IP Act.  This bill, which is similar to SOPA, would give the government the ability to control websites regarding copyright material. It, in a way, also limits our use of the internet.
3. There are people who do not feel the bills will protect them from false accusations.  If ads and various links on the site lead to sites with copyright problems, the site must pay.  I don't think it's fair that just because we visit a site with an ad that needs to be payed for, we have to pay for it just because we stumbled upon it.
